Process to activate ActiveX Controls for Internet Explorer 11

There are many Applications responsible for normal execution of Computer System. They perform their dedicated work in background so that every initiated process works normally. ActiveX Control may prone to unwanted access so as to protect our system we have to activate ActiveX Filtering mechanism. The ActiveX filtering will prevent websites from installing ActiveX Controls in our system. But we know that ActiveX Controls are necessary for playing certain games and videos. Users need to open the particular website and follow the below procedures to either active or deactivate the ActiveX Filtering.

How to turn ON ActiveX Filtering?

Procedure 1:  Open the Internet Explorer (IE) 11 and navigate to the top right corner of the screen. On top right corner of the screen there is a gear like symbol. Just click on gear like symbol.

Procedure 2: After clicking the gear icon, navigate below to Safety option. Click on Safety right arrow and check mark on ActiveX Filtering.

How to turn OFF Active X Filtering?

Procedure 1: Open the website for which user need to turn off the ActiveX filtering mechanism.

Procedure 2: Now, if ActiveX filtering is already active for all websites then it will show a blue circular system (Just like a stop symbol) in the address bar as shown in figure given below. This blue icon is also said as filter button. Click on the blue icon and as a result a pop up will emerge which shows option to turn off ActiveX filtering. 

Click on Turn off ActiveX Filtering. If ActiveX filtering is enabled for all websites, then it will show filter button on each website you open. So, in order to block ActiveX controls from every website, Go to Settings (Internet Explorer 11) and then on Safety option and finally unchecked the ActiveX filtering option. How to Change ActiveX Settings manually?

Open the Internet Explorer Window and navigate to gear like symbol at the top right corner of the page. Then click on Tools button followed by Internet options. 

Navigate to Security Tab at top and choose Custom level. 

In Security Settings Window, navigate below to get ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins (It is already arranged in ascending order).
